Wow I've been really busy lately....and when I haven't, I haven't been blogging much. So I've got a fair bit to catch up on.
Ness has been gone a few weeks now, miss her like crazy...but I don't miss the drive to Frankston. :P
Not last weekend, but the one before, Jacinta and I did a major shopping weekend. On the Saturday we went over to the Chadstone Homemaker centre on warrigal road. I'd never been there, but I knew they had Freedom and JB, and I knew Jacinta is looking into getting a new bed, so I thought it'd a be worth a visit. Freedom had 15% off so I bought a couple of towels and mugs. -The towels are super soft and cuddly! I also bought my media player from JB -FINALLY! It's very cool. It plays all kinds of files on my tv- everything I could wish for.
Had a quiet night, as sleepy as I was the night before -where I was falling asleep at 9pm. I was watching all sorts of things -including 3 eps of P-Rex and Cougar Town that for some reason I had skipped last season in the downloading....oops. They were good ones too!
Sunday I picked up Jacinta and we went to Chaddy. I was looking for shoes, bags, clothes etc, but found nothing, but a doona cover and makeup.
Last week Nikki was away with Dad in Queensland, so it was nice and quiet just me and Mum. I took her out for dinner on the Tuesday night. It was fun, not having anyone sulking or calling us to come home. She came home Thursday, and was nice and friendly....for 5 minutes - she was back to normal by Friday.
They went off to the footy and I had the place to myself and I watched plenty of tv. I started Private Practice season 4 since that arrived on Thursday. And then watched the 2 hour Grey's Anatomy season premiere when that finally downloaded at 10pm -ish.
I didn't get much of a sleep in on Saturday cause I got up early so I could go and take my jeans down to be taken up. Mum and Nic when out after that, so I watched plenty more PPP and did some washing and cleaning up. Jacinta came over around 5:30 and we caught up - while my mum was getting her costume organised for the party she and Nic were going to. She went as Princess Leia. We went and got dinner from Camberwell and came back and watched some movies.
I had a good sleep in Sunday. Didn't get up to much. Mum and I went to Camberwell in the arvo, and I ended up buying almost $200 worth of clothes from Just Jeans...I let mum suggest some things to try on and I liked them all, but 1! Then I bought new pillows and other things from Target. I am looking forward to using my new sheets, doona cover and pillows this weekend.
I haven't done much this week except watch tv and work! When I wasn't watching new stuff, I was watching PPP - I gotta admit I have sacrificed watching some of the new stuff to make sure I got through PPPs4 before tonight. Only got 1 left and I'll watch that before I watch the premiere in a little bit.
We had another work morning tea today - a goodbye for Tara who got a new job. I ate so much food...its crazy just how much stuff there is. It nuts! I was baking brownies last night, but they didn't quite work out right...so I just brought some chips...and I was kinda glad. too too too too much food!
Getting my hair done tomorrow arvo, before going out to dinner tomorrow night. Can't wait to have my hair cut, and also be more blonde. I miss the blonde.

Week 3
Well....I really should stop calling every post 'Week....' but for now its all I've got!
The job is going good, I'm really getting into the swing of things now. The driving is okay, usually....but I gotta laugh every morning/arvo when I pass multiple trams with the Rock of Ages ads on them....while blasting the soundtrack and belting out along with.... I feel I have over listened to it now though, and took it out of my car. The last 2 days I have been listening to 9 to 5...then 2nd good 'wake up' cd.
In other news - I had a great but busy weekend. I felt like baking on Saturday, so I did...I make choc chip cookies - while playing the Grey's Anatomy musical soundtrack. Apparently my life needs a soundtrack for every action!
I then took the cookies down with me to Ness', where Kay and Nick already were visiting. I'm liking the regular catch ups. Its fun to do things as a group! We went down to The Good Guys to buy my new cd player -after fighting with the old one for so long. Its very pretty, and plays my ipod too! Although mine is really old, so I can't use all the features with my ipod, but I need a new one soon anyways!
We came back ate the cookies and watched the Buffy Musical of all things. I gotta admit I still kinda love it...and it made me want to go back and watch a few select 'golden' eps. Makes me wonder if I should ever get around to completing my dvd collection. I only have seasons 1 and 2...but I have ALL of Angel though.
Kay and Nick left after dinner and Ness and I finished off the 5th season of Bones, and then watched Date Night. Still hilarious after multiple viewings!
Sunday I was going to sleep in, but woke up early-ish. But that was okay cause it gave me time to play with my cd player. I went over to Jacinta's in the afternoon and we went and saw Bad Teacher. It was pretty funny, Cameron Diaz was kinda annoying, but the rest of the characters were good. Jason Segel was kinda adorable. There were too many people I knew in it though! We hung out for a while after and went out to get some dinner, before I came home to get my stuff together for work...and then the weekend was over!
Auntie Marg is starting to sell Tupperware now...so she had a launch party Tuesday night. Mum and I bought a few things, and mum got roped into having a party. But its the new catalog will be out by then, so I can buy lots of new stuff! YAY!!!!
This week at work has been good, the other young girl was back from her holidays, so we chat a bit. I am feeling more comfortable with the phones now, and getting used to the place.
Tomorrow we are having another birthday morning tea, for the boss. These people have too many birthdays! haha. I had time to make something this time. We'll see how they go over. Its always hard to think of what people might like.
This weekend I'm pretty busy again. Going out both Fri and Sat nights...and spending all day sat and sun cleaning out my Grandparent's house.I'm going to be exhausted...before the week even starts! Crazy. lol. I might be in bed at 6pm on Sunday.
Oh well....at least I am making and spending money...that makes me happy!

Weddingpalooza Weekend
So this past week I’ve been pretty quiet. Went over to Jacinta’s on Wednesday and we watched the move RED with Helen Mirren, Bruce Willis and Mary Louise Parker. It was great! I knew it would be good, but I loved it! I’d been meaning to see it since New York, so I was glad I finally got a chance. We then decided to watch Helen Mirren’s episode of Saturday Night Live. –It was a great one! And then an old one with Tina Fey, back when Amy Poehler was still in it! We definitely got our fix of the funny!
Friday arvo I went down to Ness’. Friday’s are always chock-a-block for us - with all the US Thursday shows and whatever else we plan on watching. This week was also the big Shondaland Weddingpalooza! We started out small, with quality Parks and Recreation – although I still hate Parker Posey! We did the 30Rock finale – my 2nd season finale for the season. They will all start fading out now. No idea what I’ll be watching this time next month!
We ended up watching our ‘Dinner show’ after dinner…but that’s okay, made it easier to concentrate on what was going on in Rizzoli and Isles. Then we moved onto Weddingpalooza! I liked the Grey’s weddings better than I thought I would…I did feel they stole Charlotte and Cooper’s thunder a little though! Mostly I was just glad that Meredith and Derek made it legal…I mean come on! I thought Charlotte’s dress was the nicest of the three. –It hate that I feel the need to compare the two shows so much.
And I gotta point out these were the at least the 6th and 7th tv weddings for this season alone! Crazy! I’m so over weddings!
Then we moved onto the last few eps of season 3 of Bones. I kinda knew what was coming, but at the same time had no idea. –Kay and Nick always talked about how they stopped watching Bones after the whole Zack thing, so I knew he was gonna turn out to do something bad, but I never knew specifics, and it was just really really SAD. Maybe it was cause I was super tired, but I was this close to getting teary! Maybe it was the tired.
And I gotta point out these were the at least the 6th and 7th tv weddings for this season alone! Crazy! I’m so over weddings!
Then we moved onto the last few eps of season 3 of Bones. And just when I thought we were done with the weddings, we went to see Something Borrowed with Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin and John Krasinski in it on Saturday, and they spent way too much of the movie talking about weddings….couldn’t win! It was a good movie though. But they had many many scenes at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park in NYC, which was right around the corner from where we stayed. They have the BEST shakes there and I am now craving them like crazy!!!
I got home around dinner time which was kinda refreshing, meant everything was unpacked and organized way before time for bed! I spent most of the evening trying to access the super slow internet. It went slow on Friday, I used up the last few mgs downloading Raising Hope. So that’s 11 days before it comes back again…I really gotta get my own internet! It took at least an hour to load a video that only went for 3 minutes! So the next week is gonna be A LOT of fun. NOT! At least I have last week’s TV to entertain me for a while.
Today I slept in, and spent the arvo on the computer. Mother’s Day doesn’t mean too much around here. Even my sis didn’t do anything this year! -Can’t really change anything in my family at this point.
I really can’t believe how time has flown this year. I thought I’d be better off by now, not just money-wise. I thought I’d have a job and finally some independence. I thought I’d be done wearing the same old clothes, and being thrifty, and missing out. Maybe that just means that when things work out they’ll work out well…or maybe I’m just doomed to be left behind my whole life!

Wasting Time
Okay, I guess now is the point where I need to stop putting it off, and really get hard into the job search. I've got to see what's out there, and make the decision which direction I want to take. I have all the time to dedicate to the right job. -And by RIGHT job, I don't mean the dream job, but one that I can learn, grow in, and be happy doing on a daily basis.
While I really enjoyed working for the AEC, I think the fact that I knew I wasn't going to be doing it for longer than those couple of months, meant I didn't get too sick of it. -Plus I was always doing something different and learning new skills.
Additionally, I really liked working with the group of people there everyday. I felt needed and appreciated, so that made me happy.
Ideally I'd love to find a job new media related, but I am open to other things. So we'll see what happens. Hopefully I should get a little more interest this time around, seeing as how I've got office experiance now.
In other news, I have been pretty quiet. While I am not completely broke, I am holding onto all the money I earned from my last job with the VEC in December, for paying my monthly bills and other needs. I am still paying off the trip...but once I get regular work I should be able to take care of that pretty quick.
I worked last week on Australia Day with the girls from the AEC on a citizenship ceremony. It was cool to see that in action, and the work was stuff I used to do there -so that was easy to get back into.
I've been busy on my weekends, hanging out with Ness, doing our thing. The other week, we went bowling with Kay, Nick and Brett, and had dinner at Stacks. That was fun. I mean I suck at bowling, but its fun to play.
I won't run out of dvds to watch for a while, I've still got 1 season of Damages, 2 of ER, and 1 of Grey's to watch, so I'm set for a while. - Plus Private Practice when that gets cheap on Amazon again.
I've also started reading again. -My old summer hobby. I'm reading To Kill A Mockingbird again...for the zillionth time. I used to read it every summer, but I'm pretty sure I skipped last year. I love that book! I wish my sis didn't hate it so much! - I wish she'd get over her anger/hating everything issues. She's driving me up the wall. -I wouldn't care so much, if we were not watching so many dvds or playing wii games together.
I don't think my summer diet is going as well this year. It hasn't been as hot, so my appetite is more normal. I am starting to cut back again, but its hard sometimes. I'm trying out some stretching moves, which I can feel helping. I must try to cut back on the chocolate and the lemonade...

Funny isn't it?..
So I'm still going through old blog posts.....and found a funny little comment from a post in 2006.
(re: Cabaret) "I was a little weirded out at the fact that Joel Grey was in it...I had never seen him in anything that old. lol. To me his is Doc from Buffy or the nekkid dead man from Crossing Jordan."
-Its funny how few things I knew him from compared to now!!!! Joel Grey is not only the original Wizard of Oz from Wicked, but he was in Chicago, and Alias, Private Practice, and Grey's, and tons of other stuff.....its weird to only think of him as being from 1 thing! -And I'd also forgotten he was in Crossing Jordan.
They should so get Joel to do a tiny cameo on Glee......
Anyways that's enough tv talk.....but I just wanted to comment on how much my world has changed in 4 years!

And Into Week No.2
So tomorrow is the offical start of my full week of classes. ...yay. not.
Last week I only had classes Thursday and Friday. I SO don't wanna get up tomorrow morning! lol.
Well I finished the painting last Tuesday. It took me a week..but I finally finished. I moved back in Thursday night.
Friday night I had Vanessa over and we watched Heathers - which we were expecting to be better..but meh. Then we watched the last 4 episodes of the High School years of 90210 and then we watched the finale and a filming of hte finale special. We also watched some bloopers for Will and Grace, Alias, Las Vegas and Angel.
We got pizza and ate WAY too many m&m's and skittles. I had a great time and she left about quarter to 4.
I slept till 12:20 or something and spent the day on the sims2. I had to work from 7-12pm, so that wasn't much fun. It was oddly busy for a saturday night. But at least I didn't have to work today.
Nikki and Mum got home early this morning. We all slept in, and in the afternoon Nikki and I watched Desperate Housewives from Monday (I downloaded the ep cause I had to work) and then we watched 4 episodes of Friends.
I have to work tomorrow arvo which sucks...but at least it's only for 3 hours. Then I get to come home and watch DH and GA. and I'll tape Law and Order: SVU. Stupid networks messing with all my shows.
Tonight I watched another ep of Crossing Jordan on foxtel. 'Out of Sight' it was good one. Not great..but good.
I was going through some old mags today and found SO many pics and bits relating to people from things. It was kinda fun.
I'm really quite tired. At least my bed is comfy now. - I fixted it when I put it back together so that now it doesn't rock and mess with my back. And the new sheets and doona cover rock too!
-It's still a little odd not having posters on the walls though! lol

Not My Happiest Mood
Today was just another monday, same old same old. I got up at 7am, the sun was brightly shining into my east facing bedroom and I did my normal morning routine. I left for the station around 20 past 8 and got there with 6 whole minutes to spare. I sat on the train listening to my music as usual. Today it was the first disc of the Buffy cd that Nick made up ages ago. I also think my headphones are broken again...I do not have good luck with headphones this year, they are all breaking on me. Got to class, a total of 6 of us showed up, we watched most of GoodBye Lenin and then Jacinta and Eleanor did their presentations and class was done. Jacinta and I went off to have lunch at the food court and we got thickshakes from the juice bar and read magazines. I decided to buy TV Week, cause it had a bunch of stuff I wanted to read in it and I haven't bought a magazine in months....possibly all year(not counting the Empire Mag with the Serenity dvd)
After that we went and hung out in JB HIFI for a while. We had to hang around until 1:30 so that we could see Steve about our assignments. He wants to see everyone each week, I had only gone 1 week so far...which is probably a more than SOME people...but anyhooo..
We got back to campus and sat around waiting for Steve to return to his office...man he drives me nuts. He's a pain in the ass. I showed him what I had done...which was not much since I have been spending all my time finishing all the other assignments due lately. and he wasn't overly impressed. *shrugs* I couldn't care less at this point. I just can't wait to get it all over and done with for the year.
I will do my presentation and hand in my essay for Lufe tomorrow and then thats all the classes done, and I will tottle along on friday and drop in my report for Steve and he can kiss my ass if he thinks its not good enough. grrrr
I got home today, after walking home from the station and was not in a good mood by then. Scott was on the comp and wouldn't let me on, even though I have said that I need to spend time finishing off my assignments and after a whole lot of nagging, he finally let me on. I then had to go put out the washing, which he had not been able to do...cause he's a lazy pain in the ass. It was one of those days I think. He also couldn't be bothered washing the dishes(he wouldn't look hard enough for the plug..). I finished off my media folio and essay and then grumbled to Mum when she got home, and not at all surprising...she DIDN'T yell at Scott about his lack of doing stuff. Which drives me crazy, because when I am home all day, and even when I working on assignments, she yells at me if I do not put out the washing or do the dishes. Stupid double standards.
Tonight I watched Supernanny and Grey's Anatomy on tv and then filled in time watching an ep of Las Vegas I taped Saturday night and then an ep from season 4 of Crossing Jordan. Scott was still on the comp when that finished, so I was watching a countdown of best movie songs on Fox Classics. I was tap dancing around my living room. I miss my dancing. There was also a little singing. hehe.
After that I watched 2 more eps of Veronica Mars, only 3 more to go I think.
Well I should go to bed...its after 3 now...and I gotta get up and walk off to the station tomorrow. I so can't wait for this week to be over! (yes I know I've probably said that too much! lol)

Which drives me crazy, because when I am home all day, and even when I working on assignments, she yells at me if I do not put out the washing or do the dishes. Stupid double standards.
Tonight I watched Supernanny and Grey's Anatomy on tv and then filled in time watching an ep of Las Vegas I taped Saturday night and then an ep from season 4 of Crossing Jordan. Scott was still on the comp when that finished, so I was watching a countdown of best movie songs on Fox Classics. I was tap dancing around my living room. I miss my dancing. There was also a little singing. hehe.
After that I watched 2 more eps of Veronica Mars, only 3 more to go I think.
Well I should go to bed...its after 3 now...and I gotta get up and walk off to the station tomorrow. I so can't wait for this week to be over! (yes I know I've probably said that too much! lol)
