Beach Baby

So we've hit that time of year again, when the temp rises...and rises...and rises. Yesterday it was 38 degrees (celcius, for those playing at home), after much begging, my Mum agreed to come with me to the beach. Nikki was off at a friends house -swimming in their pool. Scott was off at the beach himself. So ended up arriving at Brighton (Dendy street) some time after 5pm. The wind had picked up down by the bay, so it was much cooler by then. We hit the water, which had become quite wavy, and was SO warm. -It was however pretty murky and dirty....but still did the trick. We ended up staying till 7pm, -once I turned pruny, that was it.
I had a great time. I love the ocean, and am such a water baby. I guess it comes from spending so much time by the water growing up. -As did my parents.
I much prefer the bay beaches to the surf beaches. I always wind up with bruises when I go to the surf beaches.

Hopefully we will make a few trips back over summer.

oooooo!
Friday night we also went to my cousin Marcus's wedding/marriage celebration/party...thingy. It was actually quite fun, and the food was pretty good...but we still made a stop at Macca's on the way home. The Finnish folk were nice...and interesting to say the least! lol.

My Christmas was also pretty good. I ended up with some cool pressies. I just wish there wasn't so much dramarama. Oh well.

Bring on 2008!!!!

Bored!

It's still 2 weeks till Christmas, and I still have months of holidays left before Uni starts up again.

I'm already really bored! I'm going to start painting the front end of the house soon...I hate feeling idle. I need to be doing something. I've been watching dvds, but I tend to find I need to be doing something else as well during that time. Sometimes I play solitaire, or read the paper, other times I just sorta roam about doing odd cleaning here and there.

Today is the 12th and I totally forgot about it till 4pm, but I went and found the camera and have taken my pics for today. I will post them tomorrow morning.

I am my sister's taxi-driver!

Firstly I want to make the comment that apparently I need new underwear, because when washed and sorted ended up in my sister's room....and she wore it. How rude!

Anyways....
yesterday I had to take my sister, her friend Charlotte, and two boys from their class to Chadstone to go bowling. Apparently it wasn't really a 'date' thing...but still...
So while they bowled, I did a little shopping -with a few check in's every now and then. The drive home was quite noisy, and when we got back here it got even worse. By the end of the day I had quite a headache. But at least the kids (12 is still a kid if you ask me) were pretty well behaved, and did what I told them too, when necessary. I'll just say one thing......kids are weird! They kept saying these weird things all the time.

I will do it again if I must....but my sis is gonna have to start being real nice to me!

A Whole Load of Stuff!

Ages ago I posted about this quote I had written down on a post it..."Okay you don't drive the baby." I had no idea where it was from. Ness sent me an email recently, and it ended up being from Studio 60! And when I was at her place on Friday night we watched the scene it was from...and it didn't seem so memorable...but I guess it was just weird at the time! lol

Speaking of going to Ness', I actually drove down there in Mum's car. It was a pretty easy drive, even though it was busy cause of peak hour. I know the way really well too.
I've been driving around a bit now. I've driven "Scott's" car a few times too, and finally got Nikki to come with me.

So today I finally got my copy of the letter my doctors at the RCH sent to the people at Peter Mac, and it was weird and also interesting. lol. A whole lotta medical speak...of which I could understand about half to three quaters of. Of course there were words that I just recognised from all my medical tv shows...but had no idea of what they actually meant! haha!
But at least I know that I have been taken care of and will be having check ups in the future.

I also got one of my essays back today. I got a credit, which isn't bad seeing as it was History of Ideas which I hardly understood 'cept for the evolution part. He said my essay was "too fatalistic". Geeez louise! Well the topic was transhumanism....and all that cryogenics crap and whatever! Anyhoo....
At least I know I've passed the subject. I've still got 2 more things to come back. And I think results come out soon too.

Last night I also went to see Nikki in her school concert. For some silly reason she didn't try out for a speaking part, but what she did was good anyways. The kids that were the main mains were really good. But people that are not really fond of little kids would really really hate it. I loved it, the little ones were so cute I could have eaten them up! -It did make me miss my old dancing/performing days......

oooo I went shopping yesterday and ended up buying the 2 things that I didn't get but realy wanted for my birthday. I used some birthday money to buy a new pair of thongs, hot pink Havaianas, and almost all the money my Grandparents gave me to buy a silver bracelet from Tiffany & co. It's so purdy..and goes with almost everything.....'cept my daggy at home casuals.

Not much else planned yet. I've got 3 hours and 15 minutes of work this weekend....which is better than nothing. Luckily I am earning some money in interest on my bank accounts.
