A New Year, Same Old Song

Well its now well and truely 2011!

I welcomed in the new year very quietly. It was really hot in Melbourne, over 40 at 6pm. With activities the night before and the night after, I figured a quiet night would be good. I watched movies with Mum, had a few drinks, and then watched the fireworks from across the street.

New Years Eve, Ness, her sister Bella and I went to see Hairspray at The Princess Theatre. Since it was a thursday, it was easy to drive into the city and park for free. I had to walk 2 blocks, but that was okay. I ran into my old high school friend Laura Rolf who works for a lot of the theatres. Bella sat a few rows back from us, and we had good seats off to the right of centre. The show was fantastic. SO much fun and really catchy. I love the movie, and will continue to...but there where so many great things about the show that if the chance arises I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I was so hyper afterwards, I couldn't sleep for hours!

So now that its officially the new year, I better start looking for a job. I just don't have the energy to deal with all the rejection. Not to mention, deciding whether or not a job is going to be doable for a while. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to be earning money, and have a job to go to every day....I just hate interviewing, and looking. Its times like this I wish I had a one track profession...it would make life easier.
Hopefully, now that I have some office experiance, it won't be quite so hard, or take as long as last year.

Tomorrow I am going to see a local production of The Sound of Music. It should be fun. Other than that I don't have a lot going on at the moment. Things are getting worse with my Grandparents...I'm trying to avoid it.
