Would I Help?

So today I was walking through Camberwell, on my way to the tram stop. I wasn't in a hurry. I had nowhere to be. I was just going home cause class was cancelled cause the teacher was sick.
So anways...as I was walking, there was this old couple, the man had a walking stick and all of a sudden, he started collapsing, slowly. Not having a heart attack, at least I don't think so. But he just slowly fell down on the ground. And someone immediately was there to help him up, another elder man walking past them in the opposite direction. So there I was, granted not overly tall or having much strength, but I just walked right by. Sure I looked to make sure he was okay. But I still kept walking. Other people around me were also looking and seemed to be concerned. The old man appeared to be okay, but I still wonder why it is that I did nothing.
I wonder if it camed down to someones life depending on me, would I be able to help them? Would I care enough? Would I have the confidance to do something other than just stand there?

Who knows.

But I think I will have to. I don't think I could live with myself knowing I could have done something to help them and save their life...and I didn't.

So this is just something I have been thinking about today.
So if someone needs your help. Even if they don't know it, or don't want you to know, try and see it anyway and PLEASE help in any way you can. - Their life could depend on it.

12 of 12 - July Edition

Here is my 12 of 12 from the sometimes sunny (in the middle of Winter) Melbourne, Australia.

1 of 12 - 11:52pm - This is the evidence of me attempting to get some work on my essay on the Aztecs done for one of my classes....sorta.

2 of 12 - 12:02pm - The neighbors behind me are doing work on their house. - It was quite noisy today!

3 of 12 - 12:56pm - I made myself French Crepes for lunch, with cream and chocolate...I'm ignoring the fat content involved....

4 of 12 - 1:09pm - I made choc-chip muffins (not from scratch) so that I'd have something to eat on my tea break at work

5 of 12 - 2:11pm - Doing the tv crossword in the Guide from the Herald Sun (Melbourne Newspaper), while watching Friends on dvd.

6 of 12 - 3:29pm
- Waiting at my stop for my tram to go to work. -The stop is about 5 minutes (max) walk from my house.

7 of 12 - 3:31pm
- There's my tram coming down the hill!

8 of 12 - 3:40pm - In Camberwell junction - I love the irony of the EYE sign just above Harry McGee's Private Investigator sign.

9 of 12 - 3:46pm - There's my work! - I'm a check-out chick at Safeway.

10 of 12 - 3:50pm - Here's my work locker. - Yep, I'm a name tag person!

11 of 12 - 6:24pm - Me on my tea break at work just filling time looking at my phone.

12 of 12 - 10:39pm - For some reason my cat decided that the bookshelf in our Lounge Room was a good place to sit.

Bonus Pic - 10:38pm - My word was 'GAS'...and there it is. lol

Why I Love Old Magazines....and NEVER throw them out!

1) I just found posters with people who I didn't know rocked when I read the mag the first time around

2) There's always people you "oooo I wonder whatever happened to 'insert name here'..."

3) You wind up feeling old...even if the mags are only a couple of years old, because you remember what you were doing when these things were around...and the fact that many of the young actors and people etc...have grown up.

4) Are great to show your younger sister some really bad clothes from the late 1990's.

and lastly

5) cause you always find something you want to read...or reread everytime you open them up again.

-I was feeling slightly nostalgic today when going through all my old mags.

Over and Out.

Gotta think up my 12 of 12 for tomorrow....or tomorrow. Let's see how it goes.

And Into Week No.2

So tomorrow is the offical start of my full week of classes. ...yay. not.
Last week I only had classes Thursday and Friday. I SO don't wanna get up tomorrow morning! lol.

Well I finished the painting last Tuesday. It took me a week..but I finally finished. I moved back in Thursday night.

Friday night I had Vanessa over and we watched Heathers - which we were expecting to be better..but meh. Then we watched the last 4 episodes of the High School years of 90210 and then we watched the finale and a filming of hte finale special. We also watched some bloopers for Will and Grace, Alias, Las Vegas and Angel.
We got pizza and ate WAY too many m&m's and skittles. I had a great time and she left about quarter to 4.

I slept till 12:20 or something and spent the day on the sims2. I had to work from 7-12pm, so that wasn't much fun. It was oddly busy for a saturday night. But at least I didn't have to work today.

Nikki and Mum got home early this morning. We all slept in, and in the afternoon Nikki and I watched Desperate Housewives from Monday (I downloaded the ep cause I had to work) and then we watched 4 episodes of Friends.
I have to work tomorrow arvo which sucks...but at least it's only for 3 hours. Then I get to come home and watch DH and GA. and I'll tape Law and Order: SVU. Stupid networks messing with all my shows.

Tonight I watched another ep of Crossing Jordan on foxtel. 'Out of Sight' it was good one. Not great..but good.

I was going through some old mags today and found SO many pics and bits relating to people from things. It was kinda fun.

I'm really quite tired. At least my bed is comfy now. - I fixted it when I put it back together so that now it doesn't rock and mess with my back. And the new sheets and doona cover rock too!
-It's still a little odd not having posters on the walls though! lol
